or new chord ideas. You then learn a Cool Track or Study which will
help you perfect it. You practise what you learn with video and backing
tracks at different speeds.
The extensive
video uses the most advanced technology to bring you crystal clear views
of exactly what to play and there is a full range of angles, shots,
and speeds to choose from.
At every
level of Electric Guitar Coach theres a massive range of music to work
on. Among the tracks are songs in Rock, Blues and Indie styles by Bryan
Adams, Eric Clapton, Bush, and Placebo among others.

If you
already play
If you
play already, you'll find Levels 1 and 2 will help you remember some
things that youve maybe forgotten and give you some songs you may have
missed out on. Levels 3, 4, and 5 will really give you lots of new stuff
to work on. Take as an example Level 4 which concentrates on Rock and
Blues:

Level
Four Lesson Guide
Tools
of the Trade builds up your Technique. It has lessons on, Hammer-Ons,
Pull-Offs, Trills, Bends, Vibrato and Slides. You work on
these by practising a series of Classic Riffs which use all the different
techniques.
Blues
Soloing works on your Lead Guitar playing and starts off with lessons
on the Minor Pentatonic and Blues Scales and lessons which look
at Straight, Shuffle and Swing feels. You then learn 2 Lead Guitar
Solos, the first is based on the Minor Pentatonic Scale with a Shuffle
feel, the second is a lush solo based on the Blues Scale with a Swing
3 feel. Towards the end of Blues Soloing, you perform the Solos with
real audio, full band backing tracks. This is great fun and you'll experience
what its like to play with a great band.
New
Kinds of Chords extends your chord knowledge and provides lessons
in how to improve Barre technique and how to use barres to play different
chords. 7th chords are covered in detail and you also look at how to
move open chord shapes all over the guitar to create some great new
sounds. You then work on exercises that will build up your skills in
these areas.
Blues
Backing concentrates on Rhythm Guitar and has lessons in Strum
Hand Articulation and Fret Hand Articulation. These show you how
to make your playing sound a lot more like the guitar playing you hear
from famous bands. You then learn 2 Rhythm Guitar tracks in 2 classic
styles. Again, just like with the Lead solos, you can perform what you
learn with a full band.
Eric
Clapton and Black Sabbath is a Cool Trax lesson which has 3 songs
to learn: Before You Accuse Me which is a classic blues track, and
Sunshine of Your Love and Paranoid which are 2 classic rock tracks.
You learn the central guitar parts from all 3 songs and perform them
with video and the full backing band. These songs use everything youve
learnt in Level 4 and youLL find that after working through the whole
of Level 4, you'll have a great time performing these Cool Trax.
Level
4 like every Level, is packed with great material and stuff that all
guitarists should know. Looking at all the different things in this
one Level should give you a feel for the size and depth of Electric
Guitar Coach and how at 29.99 it really does offer tremendous value.
