Project5 goes beyond stand-alone soft-synth "rack" software by providing a complete studio environment. It gives electronic musicians everything they need to experiment, create, and perform music using integrated sequencers, software synths, samplers, audio and MIDI effects, and audio looping tools — all integrated in one workstation. In addition Project5 provides advanced capabilities for synth layering, real-time pattern genesis and triggering, and a seamless live-performance audio engine.
And Project5 doesn't put a limit on your creativity. It lets you customise and expand your studio with additional plug-ins, and it supports any Windows-compatible audio hardware.

Use the Pattern Bin to browse, organize, and audition multiple patterns for your project then drag the patterns to the Pattern Editor for additional editing.
In Project5 all data can be treated as a pattern. Automation can even be written to pattern independent of note data.
When you're ready, send your pattern to a track where you can click and drag to repeat patterns for the required duration, and cut and paste patterns to when and where you like.
After creating patterns in SYNCHRON32, simply right click in the Track View to select from your many preset patterns. Then click and drag to repeat patterns for the required duration, and cut and paste patterns to when and where you like.

Ushering in a new renaissance of software synthesis, PSYN "sine" models a full-featured subtractive synthesizer, giving you access to classic analog sounds of the 70s and the evocative new sounds of today.
Like all of the synths and samplers in Project5, PSYN is performance oriented. Even though the extensive sound sculpting tools in PSYN are a sound designers dream, the user interface is designed to be used in real-time as you are playing the synth. All parameters are laid out in an ergonomic manner, and are easily accessible and automatable. With PSYN, you'll spend your time shaping your sound and making music, rather than wading through a complex interface.
Here are some of the key features of PSYN:
Oscillators & Sub Oscillators The oscillators are the real 'sound engine' of PSYN. There are four oscillators grouped in two pages of two oscillators each. Every oscillator can play up to five waveforms simultaneously including Sine, Triangle, Square, Saw Up or Down and Noise, with specified width modulation.
Ring Modulation & FM Synthesis Because PSYN has the capability to cross-modulate oscillators you also get the opportunity to use two other analog synthesis techniques: Ring Modulation and FM Synthesis. The sonic result of ring modulation is a tone whose character is distorted or metallic. The resulting effect of FM synthesis is the creation of a set of new harmonics that produces sharp, metallic tones. In addition Project5 features two FM modes (Linear and Exponential) for added flexibility, lending itself to some very modern sounds.
Two Filters PSYN includes two filters that can be independently enabled or used in conjunction with each other. Each filter has its own unique character, and advanced filtering techniques can be realized by sending the output of the first filter to that of the second.
The first filter is a multi-mode 2-pole filter with a 12 dB/octave rolloff. It has four fully adjustable modes: low pass, high pass, band pass and notch.
The second filter is a 4-pole low pass filter, with a faster slope of 24 dB/octave rolloff, which emulates the traditional Moog filter of the 1960s.
Both filters have cutoff frequency and resonance controls to create the traditional sweeping and whistling sounds of analog synths.
Unison Mode Unison Mode is a feature that dates back to the popular vintage synths from the 70s and 80s. When Unison Mode is enabled in PSYN, it will triple the number of voices simultaneously played to create your sounds. This results in a very fat and wide sound. PSYN expands upon this technology found in classic synths by allowing you to use Unison both in mono and polyphonic mode. That means you can create literally create crushing chords, and the deepest pads imaginable.
Portamento Portamento is an effect featured in many analog synthesizers, which allows for a gradual shift or glide between notes rather than an instantaneous jump. In PSYN you get the flexibility of four Portamento modes.
Pitch Bend PSYN's four Pitch Bend modes offer powerful, expressive capabilities. Normal mode bends all sounding notes. Up mode will only bend the highest note of a chord. Down mode will only bend the lowest note of a chord. Hold mode will only bend notes that are currently being held, while leaving sustained notes alone.

One of the most highly anticipated features in Project5 is the DS864 performance oriented, digital sampler. The DS864 is a “performance oriented” sampler for more reasons than just the fact that you can quickly load samples of virtually any format and start playing. The DS864 gives you immediate real-time access to parameters for controlling and changing your sound. All of the controls are right on the surface of the DS864 — that means no digging through menus to change a parameter. And the sound sculpting tools it gives you are ample indeed. Take a look:
Load up to 16 loops or Wav samples and fire away. Spontaneously create loop-based music productions using any MIDI device, MIDI track, PC keyboard or mouse. Tweak individual slices of your loops, even combine parts of multiple loops to create and export your own custom grooves.
